An ‘ambulatory’ passenger refers to an individual who can walk independently, with or without the assistance of mobility aids such as a can or walker. Ambulatory riders should be capable of boarding the vehicle at the curb of the pickup location and disembarking at the curb of the drop-off location.

Our wheelchair services include assisting individuals in transitioning from their bed or chair to a wheelchair, and vice versa, upon reaching their destination. Our drivers receive comprehensive training in order to safely aid passengers in transferring to and from wheelchairs.
Passengers have the option to utilise their own wheelchair or one provided by RTS. Our ADA-certified vans are equipped with a secure strapping system to ensure wheelchair users are safely and comfortably secured during transit. At RTS, we recognize the unique needs of passengers requiring transport on a stretcher. Our drivers and assistants undergo comprehensive training to ensure the safe facilitation of passenger transfers between their bed and an RTS stretcher, and vice versa.
Our power load stretchers offer optimal comfort and safety, securely locking into place within our ADA-certified vans to prevent movement during transit. Additionally , they feature a plush cushion, headrest, and multiple locking positions for a more comfortable journey.
